RE: Broadway At The Beach's 25th Annual Tree Lighting Celebration Will Welcome The Holiday Season On November 16

DATE: November 4, 2019

Broadway at the Beach will host its 25th annual Tree Lighting Celebration on November 16. This annual event is free to the public and will feature a variety of holiday-themed live performances and a fireworks extravaganza over Lake Broadway.

The festivities will take place in the Center Court area, next to the Official Broadway at the Beach Guest Services Center and will begin at 6 p.m. This year's event is hosted by WPDE's Chief Meteorologist, Ed Piotrowski and will include performances by the Socastee High School Show Choir, the Myrtle Beach High School Seahawk Choir, Carolina Freestyle Cloggers and Legends In Concert. In addition, a surprise visitor from the North Pole will help light the tree.

The Broadway at the Beach tree is 46 feet tall, includes 580 branches, 250 ornament bunches, and 14,500 RGB LED lights. After the lighting, guests will enjoy a synchronized music and light show that occurs every 30 minutes from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., throughout the holiday season.

To round out the day, a fireworks extravaganza, sponsored by Helicopter Adventures, will light up the sky over Lake Broadway at 8 p.m.
