Attention Seafood Lovers!

October is National Seafood Month and Broadway at the Beach is one of the best places in Myrtle Beach to sample some of the ocean's culinary bounty.

Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville is known for great tropical drinks and songs that pay tribute to the Key West lifestyle playing in the background. But did you know that Margaritaville also serves seafood that will make your mouth sing? Any type of seafood — broiled, grilled or fried — is made to perfection here, as well as some very unique culinary creations. A big favorite is the crispy coconut-encrusted shrimp that comes out of the fryer hot and ready to be dipped in a tangy horseradish-orange marmalade sauce. And Mac 'n Cheese lovers go crazy for Jimmy's version of this all-American dish with its shrimp and white lump crabmeat married with pasta in a Boursin cream sauce.

Year after year, the Original Shucker's Raw Bar is voted Best Raw Bar on the entire Grand Strand. But the restaurant's commitment to serving great seafood doesn't stop there. A feast at Shucker's can begin with any of a variety of lip-smacking appetizers, including the popular fried seafood sampler brimming with calamari, grouper fingers, shrimp, scallops and oysters. Shucker's carefully prepares a wide variety of seafood from fried and steamed oysters, to sauteed scallops and shrimp, to the blackened fish of the day. One of the most scrumptious and inclusive feasts it offers is the "Steam Pot" which has one whole pound of crab legs and a bounty of oysters, clams, mussels and shrimp. Split it with a friend — it's big enough for two.

Landry's Seafood delivers the true flavor of the Gulf Coast and dishes out New Orleans influences with creole and cajun seasonings. This is where you'll find one of the South's most famous signature dishes like shrimp & grits made with creole sauce and cajun andouille sausage. Treat your tastebuds to Tilapia Hemingway with its parmesan encrusted goodness topped with lump blue crab meat and lemon butter. Or dive into plump, seared scallops with sweet corn fondue, crab orzo, garlic sautéed spinach, and succulent, blistered grape tomatoes.

Over at Key West Grill, they celebrate the beach lifestyle with careful preparation of fresh local seafood and recipes straight from the Florida Keys. On the restaurant's deck overlooking Lake Broadway, you can experience the restaurant's fresh catch of the day in one of eight special Key West ways. Imagine an evening dinner of pan-seared fish with tart mustard and lime butter, or paired with pineapple and plantain chutney, or prepared with mango, ginger and shaved coconut. Yum.

Joe's Crab Shack is the place to go when you want to strap on a bib and enjoy your favorite bucket of crab. Joe's has it all — King, Queen, Snow and Dungeness crab. The menu also features lots and lots of shrimp dishes, including the crowd-favorite Southern Stuffed Shrimp — jumbo grilled bacon-wrapped shrimp filled with seafood stuffing and served with crab dirty rice, hushpuppies, vegetables and buttery spiced TABASCO® Brand Pepper Sauce. Fish and lobster lovers will find no better treat than Joe's Redfish 'N Lobster with its seared redfish topped with creamy lobster sauce loaded with spinach, mushrooms and more lobster, accompanied by crab dirty rice. And, don't be surprised if you hear a few puns from your server while you're there. They dish those out just for the halibut.
