This year’s fun includes Mr. Nigel’s Dance Party, musical performances, variety entertainers, character appearances, fireworks shows & more

Myrtle Beach, S.C. (May 31, 2024) — Broadway’s Summer Nights, a free nightly entertainment series, returns to Myrtle Beach’s epicenter of fun, Broadway at the Beach, June 3 through August 25. Variety entertainment, costumed stilt walkers, character meet-and-greets and other live performances will take place throughout the summer at various locations within Broadway at the Beach. 

Returning for his 11th year is Broadway at the Beach guest favorite, Mr. Nigel. Get ready to sing, dance and spread good vibes with Mr. Nigel’s happy and energetic Dance Party taking place from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday in Center Court. Center Court is located between It’Sugar, The Mole Hole, Build A Bear and Quiet Storm Surf Shop.

Local musical talent from Next Level Showcase Productions will also perform in Center Court on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

On Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays, characters from The Storybook Experience will be in the New England Fishing Village near The Grumpy Monk for meet and greets from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Guests are encouraged and welcome to take photos during the appearances.

Entertainers from Over the Moon Productions, including costumed stilt walkers, a fairy duo and more, will entertain guests with pop up performances on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays in the New England Fishing Village near The Grumpy Monk from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Over the Moon entertainers will also be in the Charleston Boardwalk area near Paula Deen’s every Tuesday through Saturday. All of their appearances will take place from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., with the exception of Fridays, which will be 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

On Mondays and Sundays on the stage in Heroes Harbor, next to Margaritaville, the Over the Moon Productions Variety Show will take place featuring fire dancers, LED performers, jugglers and other entertainers at 8 p.m. and again at 9 p.m.

Spontaneous pop-up performances, balloon artists and other fun can also be found at various times in Center Court throughout the summer.

Broadway at the Beach’s weekly fireworks extravaganzas are also set to return. The firework shows will take place at 10 p.m. every Tuesday starting June 4 and running through Aug. 27, and at 10 p.m. every Friday starting June 21 and running through Aug. 9, with the exception of July 5.

There will be a fireworks extravaganza at 10 p.m. on Thursday, July 4 to celebrate Independence Day and then, to round out the summer season for Labor Day, there will be a Sunday firework show on Sunday, Sept.1 at 10 p.m.

In addition to the fun and excitement of Broadway’s Summer Nights, several Broadway at the Beach venues will feature live music on select nights, including The Hangout, Hard Rock Café, Bar Louie and others.
