GREAT AMERICAN SUMMER NIGHTS RETURNS TO BROADWAY AT THE BEACH BEGINNING JUNE 7, 2021
Free Nightly Entertainment Series Includes Mr. Nigel's Dance Party, Strolling Performers, Character Appearances, Live Music, Costumed Stilt Walkers, Fireworks And More
June 3, 2021, Myrtle Beach, S.C. — Myrtle Beach's most visited attraction and epicenter of excitement, Broadway at the Beach, is pleased to announce the return of Great American Summer Nights, June 7 through September 5. This free, nightly entertainment series features strolling entertainment, character appearances and other live entertainment at various locations within Broadway at the Beach.
Returning for his eighth year to Broadway at the Beach is the happy and always energetic guest favorite, Mr. Nigel. Join Mr. Nigel for a Dance Party in Center Court, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. On Tuesday and Thursday, also from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., it's a Dance Party on-the-go as Mr. Nigel strolls the property, singing, dancing and spreading good vibes.
Also taking place in Center Court are kid-friendly character appearances courtesy of The Storybook Experience every day from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Costumed stilt walkers and comedic strolling duos from Over the Moon Productions will entertain guests nightly from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Plus, every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday evening at 9 p.m. guests will be wowed by Over the Moon's LED Dancers as they parade the walkways of Broadway.
The acoustic stylings of local talent, Shelley Sasser, will be on display near The Simpsons 4D and Broadway Theater from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the summer.
Adding to all the fun, spontaneous "pop-up" music and dance performances will also take place at various times. Several Broadway at the Beach venues will feature live music on select nights.
"The 2021 summer season is going to be very exciting," said Melissa Armstrong, marketing director for Burroughs & Chapin. "In addition to Broadway at the Beach's awesome shopping, delicious restaurants and spectacular attractions, we have a wonderful lineup of fun, exciting and family-friendly entertainment planned for the summer season and can't wait to see all the smiles and memories being made by our guests with their family and friends."
Broadway at the Beach's weekly fireworks extravaganzas are also set to return at 10 p.m. every Tuesday night, June 8 through August 31, and every Friday night, June 18 through August 13. In addition, Broadway at the Beach will celebrate the 4th of July with a fireworks extravaganza July 4 and will round out the summer season with a Labor Day weekend fireworks show on September 5, both at 10 p.m.
All of Broadway at the Beach's Great American Summer Nights nightly entertainment and fireworks extravaganzas are weather permitting.
